Anita Mailhot, 86, of Central Falls, passed away on December 12, 2024. Born on October 3rd, 1938, in Central Falls, RI to the late Alfred and Anna (Gagne) Gregoire. She was the wife to the late Leo Mailhot Jr.

Anita graduated in 1956 from Notre Dame High School. She was a Customer Relations Specialist for Collette Travel and served on the Board of Directors for Woodlawn Catholic Regional School for over 20 years. She was also a part of the Cub Scout den mother for many years. Anita loved to travel, theater, sew, take photographs, do puzzles, but above all, helping others.

She is survived by her two sons Richard Mailhot of Pawtucket, RI and Robert Mailhot of Jacksonville, FL, a brother Alfred N. Gregoire and his wife Alice of Central Falls, RI, niece Donna (Gregoire) Tomasko and husband John of Seymour, CT, nephews David Gregoire and wife Lisa of Pawtucket, RI, Alfred Gregoire and wife Brenda of Pawtucket, RI and great nephew, Michael Tomasko of North Myrtle Beach, SC, many cousins and wonderful lifetime friends. She was preceded in death by her nephew Michael Gregoire of Warwick, RI.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Holy Spirit Parish, 1030 Dexter St. Central Falls, RI at 9:30am. Memorial Donations may be made to the charity or organization of your choice.

Her smile lit up the room when she entered, and she was beloved by all. May her light shine more brightly through eternity. She will be deeply missed.
